Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I have used collection agencies before and nothing ever happened.
Answer: A traditional collection agency does not understand the Jewelry & Diamond industry, they sent a couple of letters and perhaps made a phone call. JACC believes that while letters are important that a series of escalating contacts by First class US mail and multiple telephone contacts, which serve to keep the debtor off of his stalling game plan and firmly enforce your underlying rights and remedies under law will motivate even the most recalcitrant of debtors. They will understand that JACC will simply NOT be going away!
Question: They won’t pick up my call and I see them on the street occasionally, why should they pay you when they know me and still will not pay
Answer: They are not paying you because there is no ramification in not paying you. You have failed to motivate them to this point. JACC uses professional debt collection techniques to motivate the debtor, inform them of your rights and remedies under law and your willingness to use them. While you may have given up hope, they will understand that JACC will simply NOT be going away!
Question: How do I know you will pay me when you get the money?
Answer: JACC is a licensed professional debt collector. We are regulated by governmental agencies to enforce proper fiscal responsibilities. JACC knows that you placed debt is not your complete debt portfolio and seeks you maintain a long term relationship with not only you but your business relationships within the industry.
Question: What are you going to do? They will not pay me, they do not care.
Answer: While you may have given up hope, debtors will understand that JACC will simply NOT be going away!
Question: What should I do if they call me?
Answer: Please state clearly that they must contact JACC to resolve the matter at this time. While they may be unhappy with this and may promise you the world, they know they can and have fooled you before, JACC staff have years of professional experience and will control the situation from start to finish thereby resulting in money in your bank account NOT broken promises!
Question: What if they return the merchandise to me?
Answer: The choice is yours whether to accept and value the merchandise fairly or to maintain the cash terms of your original agreement. Communication with JACC is of utmost importance, if you received good back, JACC needs to know about this before further efforts are commenced o avoid unnecessary liabilities to you and JACC.
Question: I do not want to have them ruin my reputation, what can I do?
Answer: Customers are companies and individuals who are reputable, keep their word and pay as stipulated in a agreement, invoice or memo. Their reputation means nothing to them. If you have dealt with them in a reputable fashion, provided them quality goods as stated and addressed all disputed areas of a transaction you have NOTHING to worry about. People who make such threats are creating a distraction to the problem at hand, that THEY OWE YOU MONEY! there are whole bodies of both religious and secular law dealing with transactional law, buying and selling. If you acted correctly there is NO REASON for them to not to have paid you. Therefore they can do NO harm to your GOOD REPUTATION!
